Changing your booking?
Late changes, cancellations or missed appointments carry a €24 full-test fee or €16 re-test fee.
NCTS uses a five-working-day notice rule, excluding the test day. Confirm your deadline before making a change.

Full payment is required in advance when arranging an appointment on the NCTS website. You pay the test fee directly to NCTS.
Book a lane re-test within 21 days of the original test. All re-tests must be completed within 30 days. If it is not completed within 30 days, NCTS requires another full test at the full test fee.
The NCTS Customer Charter includes a free-test provision when an appointment cannot be offered within 28 days, subject to exclusions. Ask NCTS whether your circumstances qualify; a long waiting time alone does not confirm eligibility.
No. The €9.99 NCT Bot pass covers 7 days of cancellation monitoring for up to 2 centres. It is an optional independent service. You pay NCTS separately and complete the official booking yourself.
